“We wake up in the morning and say to ourselves, “What will we do for Joy Life and our team today?” Then we go to bed at night asking ourselves, “Have we done all we could for Joy Life and our fabulous team today?”
When we joined our first network marketing opportunity years ago, our upline never explained the business to us. We simply saw it as a great opportunity to buy at wholesale, enjoy the products, and we sponsored very few people. We had no clue how to build our business and how the compensation plan worked. We tried another business opportunity a few years later, but our sponsor was so far away and we still had no idea what we were doing. We wanted to earn money but we didn’t know what it took to build a team.
Fast forward to 2010. A former neighbor and good friend of ours introduced us to Joy Life. We jumped at the chance for several reasons. Joy Life had just arrived in the United States and we were fascinated with the exciting products. Being the health buffs we are, they appealed to us immensely. We asked for training and support, and we got it. This time around, we finally felt like we knew what we were doing.
When we signed up with Joy Life, one of our initial goals was to get our debts paid off. But our primary goal was to make certain our organization had the same opportunities we now have, and we are working very hard to make sure that they too succeed. When you focus on building a strong foundation for your team, success will follow. Our goals are now focused on the success of others.
We are not among those people who believe that success means you don't have to work anymore; we think that takes advantage of the people in your organization. When you bring people into the business, you have a duty, a responsibility, and an obligation to help them succeed. There are already so many people in our organization that are excited about Joy Life. Our goal is to continually teach, guide and support them to go out and help others transform their lives, because you lead by example.
The best thing about network marketing for us is the people we’ve met in this business. There isn't any other industry in the world where you meet so many people and make so many friends that touch your heart and whose hearts you can touch. We enjoy meeting lots of people, seeing new faces and reconnecting with friends from the past. Humanity is a big thing around here.
Our advice to you is to remain committed and stand your ground. Don’t hang around negative people who will try to bring you down or make you feel like you’ve made a bad decision. Be positive and upbeat. We were once actually encouraged to quit the business by our very own sponsor, but we made it clear that once we commit, we don’t quit. We made a conscious decision NOT to quit when we joined Joy Life. When we needed guidance and affirmation, we sought support from our upline and they did not disappoint us.
Joining an MLM is easier than starting many other small businesses. But as with any successful business venture, your success directly equates to your commitment. Running a successful business will require a lot of time, effort and energy. Rely on your team for support. Just as you set aside time for your family, you must set aside time for business and remain committed to it. Expect that there will be ups and downs. You will encounter obstacles. Obstacles can be seen as a source of frustration and pain, but the opportunities they present can become the source of great excitement, satisfaction and fulfillment.
Being an entrepreneur in the network marketing industry can be challenging in the beginning, but the freedom, the choices, the sense of accomplishment that comes with having made a difference in other peoples' lives makes it all worthwhile.
We love that network marketing is for ANYBODY! It can range from a homeless person to a doctor, homemaker, lawyer or retiree. In today’s economy, this opportunity appeals to the masses as never before, and incredible new talent is being attracted to our industry. We are reminded of a quote by Michael S. Clouse, “Network Marketing is an equal opportunity.”
To recap it all, there is another big reason we work with Joy Life…
Helen Keller once said, “Life is a daring adventure or nothing.” We agree with her.
